Day 1: Nairobi
When you arrive at the Nairobi International airport, I will be there to give you a very warm welcome. With our competent driver on the scene, we will transport you to our first nights luxury accommodation at the Boma Hotel. This grand hotel is equipped with all the requirements you’ll need for a pleasurable and satisfying rest. It is expected that you will need to recuperate from the flight hence there are no scheduled activities for the first afternoon/evening so that you have sufficient time to recuperate. You can take advantage of the many conveniences at the hotel to help unwind. Whether you choose to relish a massage at the spa. Unwind by the swimming pool or have a drink at the bar, you can be sure that you have a pleasurable resting experience. Dinner is not included in the plan; hence you will be paying for dinner from your pocket. For dinner, there are many options you can explore. You could decide to eat in the Boma Nairobi’s in-house restaurant the Johari restaurant, relax and enjoy room service, or you could cruise around Nairobi to find a fantastic spot.

Day 2: Nairobi
After an early breakfast our drivers will pick us up from The Boma Hotel at 6.30am and depart for Nairobi National Park. This unique wildlife sanctuary is just a few kilometres from Nairobi’s bustling city centre, despite its proximity, many different species of mammals are found in the park. Of the big 5 only elephants are absent from this park. There is a large number of both black and white rhino which are both rare to see in most African national parks. Also found in this park is lion, leopard, cheetah, cape buffalo, masai giraffe, ostrich, Thompsons gazelle, zebra and much more.

We depart the park at approximately 10.30am and drive to David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage where we will spend 1-hour watch and photograph the baby elephants at feeding time and play together in the mud pool. At 12pm we take a short drive to Nairobi Giraffe Centre. Here you get a chance to see the giraffes up close and even hand feed them on the platform or from ground level. There is also a 1.5-kilometre walking trail with plenty of bird species. There are also smaller animals of the trail such as squirrel, warthog and the world’s smallest antelope species dik-dik. There is also a teahouse where you can relax and have a drink while watching the giraffes, and a large souvenir shop. All proceeds at the Giraffe Centre go to charities which either help conservation or the underprivileged. Later return to our hotel for lunch and a relaxing afternoon.

Day 3: Masai Mara
Following an early morning breakfast, we will leave Nairobi at approximately 8:00 am and take a scenic drive through the country-side and scenic Great Rift Valley to the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Keekorock Lodge is our destination and would be accommodating us for the next three nights. We will check in at approximately 1 pm and relish a mouth-watering lunch. Early afternoon would be spent relaxing at the lodge maybe even enjoying a drink at the hippo bar overlooking a small lake with hippos bathing just metres away. At 4 pm we take our first game drive in the Masai Mara. This is one of the most adventurous parts of your trip as we will explore the nearby part of the Masai Mara for its many animal species. Like most tourists, you will find the lion which has a high population in this part of the reserve is always the major attraction. You will bask in the breathtaking view of the sunset before returning to our lodge at 6:30 pm. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a buffet dinner with plenty of drinks by the fireplace while feasting your eyes on the mystical Masai dances.

Day 4 & 5: Masai Mara
We will take an early morning game drive at 6am game drive return back to our lodge at 9am for breakfast. After breakfast, we will go back on game drive in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators such as its high population of lion and cheetah, as well as large populations of zebra, wildebeest, Masai giraffe, elephant, topi, Thompson’s gazelle, eland and much more. You will also explore the famous Mara River in a drive along in the search for its large Nile crocodiles and an abundance of hippos. We will return to camp for lunch around noon depending on animal activity. We will return on afternoon game drive at 4pm. Afterward, you will be treated to tasty meals Meals and overnight at Keekorock Lodge. Also, you have the option of swapping your early morning game drive for a hot air balloon safari across the Masai Mara’s savannah at sunrise followed by a champagne bush breakfast on the open plains. For this amazing experience it is an additional $450 USD. For an extra optional afternoon activity, you can visit a nearby Masai Village to learn about their culture, watch and participate in masai dances, visit the Masai school and shop at the Masai Markets (USD $30)

Day 6: Lake Nakuru
After an early morning breakfast, we depart the Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru in a drive that will span for less than 5 hours. We will arrive with a short game drive in time for lunch and check in at the magnificent Sarova Lion Hill lodge. In the afternoon game drive to the Pink Lake often referred to as such owing to formally having great masses of Flamingos. You will have an exciting exploration of the famous white rhino and black rhino found in this park. Also, should we find them you will be amazed at the local tree-climbing lions. After this eventful day, you will arrive back at the beautiful 5-star Sarova Hill Lion Lodge for a tasty dinner and an overnight rest.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru
After breakfast we leave for our morning game drive at 7.30 am and spend a good 5 hours looking for Lake Nakuru’s resident lion, leopard, rhinoceros, hyena, cape buffalo and many other majestic animals. We return to the lodge around noon for lunch and time to relax. Later at 16:00 hours we go for another game drive returning at 18:30 hours.

Day 8: return to Nairobi
After breakfast we check out of our lodge at 7.30 hours and take our final game drive departing Lake Nakuru for Nairobi at approximately 10.00 hours. At about midday, we arrive in Nairobi for lunch. This is where the tour ends. If you have an afternoon flight, we can transfer you to Nairobi International Airport. Or if you wish to stay in Nairobi for a little longer we can transfer you to a hotel.
